Get to know Jamar Locate

Hailing from Killeen Texas, Jamar Locate is rising to stardom in the music industry. Having a tumultuous and tough upbringing installed a cutthroat mindset in Jamar and has gotten him where he needs to be. The trials and tribulations that he experienced throughout his upbringing has developed Jamar into the artist that he is today. One of his friends who he even considers a brother, “Yung Coby”, inspired Jamar the most since he saw potential in Jamar. Yung Coby convinced Jamar to go after music and pursue it. His music is distinguishable and noteworthy due to his flow, lyrics, and tone, generating a unique rhythm. Throughout his musical journey, there has been a substantial amount of growth and learning. Everything started to fall into place with his music as he adapted to the industry and listened to guidance. A lot of artists in the industry have a difficult time adapting, but not Jamar Locate. He prioritizes self development and does not allow negativity and naysayers get to him. Jamar is focused on developing his craft. He looks up to an array of artists as a source of inspiration: Big Scarr, Moneybagg yo, Luther Vandrose, Lil Durk, Future, DaBaby, King Von, and Key Glock. His most noteworthy performance to date was on September 8 of 2019 when he opened up for DaBaby. The opportunity arose when performing at a pool party and a scout happened to be there. After the performance, he asked Jamar if wanted to open for “DaBaby”. Contemporarily, he has been focusing on building a fan base and connecting with his fans. Prior to the new year, he plans to release singles. He likes to keep his fans wondering by operating in silence and has not announced a date.
