Influenced by Crystal Castles and Machine girl; ‘NOCTURNAL’ stands out from most popular songs through its distinctive cadence and dynamic production, which combines elements of jungle, EDM, and rap. Yokai’s personal favorite line is "Nocturnal living feeling like a bat" and "I have to cut you off. Have to focus on this music, need no distractions." These lyrics refer to him having to stay up late nights finalizing tracks and distancing himself from people that negatively affected his sense of ambition. He created this track by adding lyrics to the instrumental he made using self designed synth keys and subs. 

The main message Yokai Apollo is trying to convey is to encourage listeners to push boundaries and for himself to challenge the norms within today’s rap music.
